Congratulations to Masconomet sophomore Matthew Goss and senior Olivia Turco on being featured in the October 16th edition of the Boston Globe in the article “Boxford teens walk in friendship for Best Buddies.” Matthew and Elizabeth participated on the “Matthew’s Troops” fundraising team in the Best Buddies Friendship Walk in Boston this past weekend. Message Regarding Special Education Reductions at US Department of Education
As the impact of the Government Shutdown continues to unfold, we are hearing more and more stories about government layoffs, specifically at the United States Department of Education. You may have seen the Boston Globe article regarding mass layoffs at the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP).
We will continue to monitor the impact of the situation and make decisions about what is best for our students. We want to assure you that despite what is happening on the federal level, we maintain our highest commitment to the students of the Tri-Town and Masco, and their legal right to an education. We have a long history of providing an excellent educational experience through other turbulent times and we will work to continue that history.
If you have specific questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to your program coordinator or the Student Services Offices.

This year, we will again be hosting as series of parent coffees on Friday mornings at 8:30 AM. Our next scheduled Parent Coffees will be held at the Middle School on October 24 and November 21 and at the High School on November 14. All Parent Coffees are from 8:30 to 9:30 AM. Parents should report to the main office of their respective schools to check in for the parent coffee.
