Presentation from Masconomet Alums in the US Coast Guard

On Tuesday, January 9th all Masconomet Students will hear a presentation from Commander Brooke (Bagge) Millard and Engineering Officer Emily Dow of the US Coast Guard Cutter Bear.  Both Millard and Dow are Masconomet Graduates (Classes of ’99 and ’14).  They will describe life at sea and share photos of operations across diverse counter-drug, maritime migration, and fishery deployments, ranging from Greenland to Haiti, as they lead a 270-foot expeditionary ship with a crew of 100. Bear’s operational successes were recently highlighted by both CNN and Fox News.
